This is a really solid 1952 Ford F-1 pickup with about 1,500 miles since the restoration. It is an exceptional truck, having gone thru a complete restoration a couple of years ago. It is 100% rust free, very straight, and a joy to drive.
While very original and stock looking, the truck is powered by a 351 Cleveland V/8, 4bbl carburetor, and meted to a Ford C6 automatic transmission. This drivetrain is very reliable, much more so than the flathead, and drives like a dream. It can sit all day at idle and not get hot. The following is a list of work done during the restoration: fuel tank relined, new fuel lines, new master cylinder, new wheel cylinders, new brake lines, new kingpins, new shocks, new radiator, all new rubber doors and windows, new windshield seal and glass, and new wiring harness. In addition new turn signals and tail lamps are fitted. The quality of restoration is excellent, with an estimated cost of restoration at close to $40,000.
The interior is all redone with new rubber floor mat and insulation underneath. The seat is redone in a blue and grey cloth. The headliner is new as well. All the gauges work very well with the exception of the speedo.
This is an opportunity to purchase a great vintage truck at a reasonable price, much less than the cost of restoration.
