Unleashed to the public in September 1945, the TC was MG’s first post-war production automobile. Many race car legends including Phil Hill, John Fitch, and Denise McCluggage owned and raced TC’s. Powered by the venerable XPAG 1250 cc, inline 4 cylinder engine, it was rated at 55 HP at 5,200 RPM.
This numbers matching example marks the last year the TC was produced. Chassis number TC6669 was manufactured on September 1, 1948. This TC represents a long family ownership from California. The car is a rust and accident free example, the frame has no corrosion anywhere. The horizontal radiator shutters are painted a subtle dark maroon, complimenting the exterior Sherwood green. The car is very sound mechanically. It runs and idles nicely, drives like a dream, and the brakes have just been done.
The TC comes equipped with all weather equipment, top, tonneau, and side curtains. In addition it is fitted with a period Marchal driving light, Brooklands windscreen, vintage turn indicators, period correct owners manual, and a Brooklands steering wheel compliment this wonderful automobile.
