A great car with a great story! This two-owner Porsche 911T Targa.
Purchased new in Riverside, California from the original owner in 1986
by a young Air Force Officer, who cared for and enjoyed this Porsche for
over 30 years until now. That gentleman is now an old, retired Air Force Officer!
In 1988 the family and the Porsche were transferred to Stuttgart.
While in Germany the 911 was driven and enjoyed, but the best news of all is that
this Porsche 911T was serviced by the Porsche Factory in Stuttgart! All the
Service Record receipts are with the car (hope your German is good) and show the great care
that was given to this Porsche. Returning to the United States in 1991, the family was stationed
in Washington, D.C. at the Pentagon.
In 1995, upon retirement the Targa came to Jacksonville, Florida where she resides today.
How about the car? Today you have a rust-free superbly maintained automobile. With just over
103k miles the car is mechanically sound. It had a complete engine rebuild at 85k miles by a well-known
Jacksonville Porsche specialty Shop. Last year the car was stripped down to bare metal with windows out
and repainted by Terry Simmons of Jacksonville. Terry is very well-known in the area and has painted
Amelia Island Concours winners. The paint is excellent and the body is laser straight!
More recently, the car has had a leak down, replacement of all fuel lines, rebuild carbs, new wires and retainers,
adjust valves, replace upper valve cover gaskets, change the oil, spark plugs and new tires!
This work was done in February of 2016, and all receipts are available.
A Porsche COA is also included with the car. Here is an opportunity buy a car with known and
documented history that has been superbly preserved.
